We’re looking for a self-motivated Benefit Specialist III who has a passion for challenges, innovation, and helping people to achieve their goals.

About The Role: As a part of the Transcom usa team, you will be working closely with staff across all departments to deliver excellent customer service to clients across diverse brands.The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of multiple client’s benefits in the HR System. This position serves as an outsourced representative and coordinates with employees, clients, and third-party vendors to support benefit functions.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily benefits deductions through the payroll cycle
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting
  • Submit employee contributions withheld through payroll deduction for 401(k), HSA, and FSA plans to the vendor
  • Provide responses to benefit and other general inquiries
  • Provide reports to client and third parties to support them with the administration of their employee benefit plans
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot issues that arise through the transfer of manual extracts to third-party vendors
  • Partner with client and HRIS during the Open Enrollment administration
  • Perform audits of benefit elections in the HR System post open enrollment
  • Review and interpret benefit plan documents
  • Suggest process improvements to clients to reduce cost and increase efficiency
  • Process and maintain documentation for proof of life event changes with employees, vendors, and clients
  • Reconcile monthly vendor invoices and submit request for payment
  • Review employee arrears reporting and payments
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements and skills

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite products to include Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and confidentially
  • Able to effectively manage client relationships
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Benefit administration experience
  • Knowledge of benefits compliance and regulation
